Original works, commissioned from Illustrators for reproduction in magazines are often very beautiful and desirable as works of art in their own right. However, once published, the original works are often either discarded or forgotten about. Recognizing the huge technological advance the giclée process offered, Dean Rhys Morgan sought to apply this sophisticated technique to reproduce these forgotten images with an unprecedented level of accuracy. The giclée process, which has become the benchmark for fine art reproduction allows extraordinarily exact color reproduction and razor sharp detailing.
He initially approached Jeremiah and the gallery’s first giclee prints, reproductions of his paintings, were met with great acclaim. Building on this initial success, Dean Rhys Morgan has recently gained permission to offer works by Kenneth Paul Block, Fred Greenhill, Alfredo Bouret and René Bouché as officially authenticated limited edition giclées.
